Effective childcare services and policies can support long-term sustainable and social development of countries. They can support education of next generations supporting them to enhance their capacity to provide added value and to fulfil their own capacity. Furthermore, effective, strategic and successful childcare services and kindergarten education and relevant policies can contribute to women empowerment and women’s role in economic growth of society. This situation can help women to do their profession and to achieve gender equality in workforce. This chapter aims to investigate childcare services’ and kindergarten education’s role in achieving women empowerment and social development. Furthermore, this chapter highlights construction industry’s role in construction, refurbishment and retrofitting of the kindergarten and childcare services buildings and their indoor environment in supporting achievement of effective childcare services and policies. Additionally, this chapter emphasises the relation among effective and successful childcare services and policies, gender equity, and social development, and sustainable and resilient development. Recommendations for enhancing strategic effectiveness and success of childcare services and policies for supporting women empowerment, gender equity, and social development are provided. This chapter is expected to be useful to academics and researchers in the relevant field, and professionals and policymakers.
