This chapter aims to draw attention to the Circular Economy approach, address a future trend, and create a compilation of important Circular Economy studies published between 1994 and 2023. The failure to solve problems such as climate change, loss of biodiversity, overpopulation, and resource scarcity by the current Linear Economy model has shown that sustainable economy models can be a successful solution. On the other hand, there are also emerging technology trends that have the enormous potential to impact Circular Economy. The first contribution of this study is the investigation of the impact of future trends on Circular Economy. Three trends are selected and suggested to be examined: Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, and Operational Research approaches. We collected studies (published between 2007 and 2023) examining Circular Economy from different perspectives in a single source and also highlight the usability areas of selected approaches that integrate the Circular Economy into production. Another contribution to the literature is to propose the use of Artificial Intelligence regarding Circular Economy’s 9R framework. The study guides the implementation of the Circular Economy concept and provides a significant contribution to the Circular Economy literature from different perspectives.
