The analysis focuses on major GFSI dimensions such as affordability, availability, quality and safety, and sustainability and adaptation. Furthermore, the study considers Indonesian socioeconomic and political settings to better understand the elements driving their food security performance. Based on the exploratory analysis, this study presents recommendations for Indonesia to improve its food security posture. Among them are enhancing legal frameworks, investing in technical infrastructure, encouraging capacity-building efforts, and increasing regional and international cooperation. By implementing these measures, Indonesia can better protect its people from food crises and contribute to more secure food security. The study attempts to uncover the strengths and weaknesses of Indonesia’s food security posture and provide insights into potential areas for improvement by studying the GFSI scores and underlying indicators.
