This chapter explores successful turnaround leaders’ strategies for facilitating the complementary roles of school stakeholders in the context of the Philippines due to insufficient research on this topic. This study used a multiple case study of three mega schools in the two most populated regions in the Philippines, followed by content analysis to understand semi-structured interview data from three school principals and three focus group discussions with stakeholders. This study identifies five strategies for facilitating the roles of stakeholders in school transformation, which include being a “‘gauge and voice’,” life-long learners, advocates, benefactors, and active partners. These findings are vital for understanding turnaround leaders’ competence development and developing strategies for improving low-performing schools in similar contexts theoretically and practically.

摘要
