Arsenic contamination continues to be hazardous to the natural environment and public health. Drinking water contamination, health effects, technology solutions, regulatory responses, food-borne arsenic, climate change implications, community engagement, multidisciplinary research, and global initiatives are some of the main areas of study. Arsenic is one of the most hazardous metalloids to human health. To protect the environment and public health, addressing arsenic contamination calls for interdisciplinary cooperation, community empowerment, and persistent international action. In general, consuming arsenic-contaminated water increased cancer risk in these areas. Urgent corrective and management actions are needed in order to supply the people of these impacted locations with safe drinking water. The review delves into the methodologies utilized for arsenic assessment, including laboratory analysis, field measurements, and remote-sensing techniques, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary approaches for comprehensive evaluation. This research review chapter underscores the importance of implementing mitigation strategies to address arsenic contamination effectively.
