Breathing Freely: A Vision for a Future with Clean Air
摘要
Throughout this book, we have highlighted the many dimensions in which air pollution influences economic and social systems. Chapters 2 through 9 delve into specific mechanisms through which air pollution exerts its effects—ranging from its influence on stock market performance and the behavioral responses of consumers and investors, to its effects on health insurance markets and the strategic decisions of corporations striving to cope with pollution-related risks. By connecting environmental degradation to economic performance across a variety of sectors, we aim to present a comprehensive overview of the complexity and urgency of this global challenge.
