This study successfully detects n-hexanal in vehicle interior air using a combination of gas chromatography and dual-polarity ion mobility spectrometry. By employing quality tools to identify the primary factors influencing the testing process, various Design of Experiments (DOE) were conducted under different conditions to establish a gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS) method for detecting n-hexanal in vehicle air. This method was then extended to detect other volatile organic compounds (VOCs), such as benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, acetaldehyde, and acrolein, in vehicle interiors.

摘要
