Research on Accelerated Stress Test of Amorphous Carbon Coating on Metal Bipolar Plates of Fuel Cells
摘要
Amorphous carbon coatings are utilized to improve the conductivity and corrosion resistance of metal bipolar plates. These coatings are chosen for their remarkable conductivity and stable chemical properties. However, vehicle operating conditions significantly accelerate corrosion and performance degradation of amorphous carbon coatings. To reveal corrosion behavior of amorphous carbon coatings on bipolar plates under automotive conditions, accelerated stress tests were conducted on flat plate samples and formed metal bipolar plates under potential cycling. Under potential cycling of 0.6 V ~ 1.55 V, significant corrosion appeared on metal bipolar plates, no significant difference was observed in the corrosion degree of each area in the formed metal bipolar plate flow channel. This article can further guide the durability evaluation of metal bipolar coatings on boards.
