Checking fixtures are a crucial component in the “modelling”, “clamping” and “inspection” equipment systems during the development process of automotive components. Due to their high degree of specialization, hundreds or even thousands of sets of checking fixtures are required to meet inspection needs throughout the vehicle development process, and most are discarded after the vehicle development cycle ends. In fact, the standardization rate of checking fixture structures is relatively high. If considered during the early structural design and made modular, it can significantly reduce the overall cost of vehicle development.
