Soil-trip rollover test is one of the additional evaluation procedures of 2024 C-NCAP. The high-precision simulation helps to deeply understand the whole process of the soil-trip rollover of the whole vehicle in the early stage and save the test cost. At present, the research on the simulation method of the interaction between vehicle and sand is still in the initial stage, and no specification has been formed. On the basis of previous research, this paper studies the above problems based on FEM and DEM coupling method, and the results can well reflect the actual process of soil-trip rollover of the whole vehicle. The research also lays a foundation for the simulation of vehicle in desert off-road conditions.
