Analysis and Optimization of EMC Characteristics in Electric Fans
摘要
Characteristics of the automotive components are the key to achieving electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance standards for the vehicle. Optimizing the EMC characteristics of components is an effective way to avoid EMC issues in the process of vehicle development. Through summarizing two EMC problems arisen during vehicle EMC test due to unsatisfied EMC characteristics of electric fans, this article analyzes the interference mechanism based on the operation principle of electric fans, proposes amelioration and optimization approaches considering the three essential elements of EMC problems (which are the source, the coupling path and the receptor), and presents vehicle EMC test validation results demonstrating the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed approaches. Given the specificity and commonality of EMC problem analysis, the approaches proposed in this article can be utilized to avoid risks and provide solutions to vehicle EMC issues related to component characteristics.
