The Interpretation of Serological Tests in Interstitial Lung Disease Associated with Collagen-Vascular Diseases
摘要
Serologic tests taken in the context of the clinical presentation offer a noninvasive option for the diagnosis of collagen vascular/connective tissue disorder-related interstitial lung disease (CTD-ILD). However, the interpretation of autoantibodies in CTD-ILD may be confounded by several variables. This chapter explores the interpretational issues inherent in the currently available methods of serological testing, and discusses the significance of the various autoantibodies seen in CTD-ILD and the inflammatory myositis/antisynthetase syndromes.
