The Measurement of Release Impulse and Impulse Moment with Different Types of Pendulums on the Ground

In TianQin project, the release impulse of the test mass should be no more than 1 × 10−5 kg m/s and the release impulse moment should be no more than 5 × 10−8 kg m2/s, respectively. In order to precisely measure the release impulse and impulse moment on the ground, we propose three kinds of pendulum systems to simulate the caging and release process of the test mass, they are the compound pendulum, the single pendulum, and the two-stage pendulum. Through mathematical modeling and dynamics analysis of these systems, we obtain the motion modes of the pendulum and analyze the feasibility of release impulse and impulse moment measurement.
