Seismic Passive Earth Pressure of Inclined Retaining Wall with Inclined Backfill Using Pseudo-dynamic Approach
摘要
The present study gives detailed insights into seismic passive earth pressure of inclined retaining wall with inclined backfill using pseudo-dynamic approach. The effect of soil amplification factor is incorporated along with effects of horizontal and vertical earthquake acceleration on seismic passive earth pressure. A comparative study of seismic passive earth pressure with variation of different combinations of soil friction angle, wall friction angle, wall inclination, and backfill inclination is done. The effect of various factors on normalized seismic passive earth pressure distribution is also explored in this study. Effect of variation in horizontal and vertical soil amplification factor is explored with the help of soil amplification ratio. In present pseudo-dynamic analysis, the variation of seismic passive earth pressure along with wall is of non-linear nature. Comparison of results with present theories is done.
