Landfill leachate generation is a significant concern in solid waste management due to its potential environmental and public health impacts. Therefore, designing an efficient landfill and proper leachate treatment processes is important. Various numerical methods have been implemented to estimate leachate generation rates in landfills to address this issue. This study estimates these methods and their applications in waste management practices. The numerical methods that play a crucial role in waste management practices, such as the standard, rational, mass balance, and fusion methods, were determined and ultimately analyzed the results. The numerical methods assist in estimating leachate generation rates, which are essential for designing and implementing effective leachate management strategies. Accurate estimation helps assess the environmental impact of landfills, optimize waste management processes, and protect surrounding ecosystems and water resources. The standard method is widely used for its simplicity and long-standing application. The quantified leachate generated from the landfill was 9125 m3/year. The standard method (V) estimated 3550.92 m3/year, rational method (Q) estimated 11,836.4 m3/year, mass balance method (L) estimated 12,573.79789 m3/year, and fusion method (L) estimated 466.587 m3/year. V, Q, and L denote the estimation of leachate generation in m3/year. There was an error found in the validation of the actual leachate-generated quantity, and leachate-generated quantity using the numerical methods was found in error such as 61.085, 29.713, 37.38853, and 94.9018% for standard method, rational method, mass balance method, and fusion method which was found simultaneously.

摘要
