Probabilistic Analysis of Wedge Failure in Tunnel Portal Slopes
摘要
Input data collected and made available for the designer for rock slope stability analysis are characterized by uncertainty and variations. The orientation and shear strength of rock-rock joints could not be represented discreetly, and a range of values is always proposed to assign the same. Deterministic analysis could not cater to issues of uncertainty and variations existing in geological data. The objective of this paper is to develop a probabilistic analysis for the design of rock cut slopes in railway formation for the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India project. This paper also delivers a recommended approach for an idealistic analysis of rock slope wedge failure in field projects.
