It is important to adopt sustainable practices not only to meet future food demands but also to mitigate the harmful effects of chemicals like fertilizers and pesticides. Nanotechnology plays an important role in this context, as this technique helps to reduce pesticide use by enhancing its effectiveness against pests. Though this approach shows promise, more studies are needed to understand the long-term impact of nanoparticles (NPs) on the environment and human health. This book chapter highlights the benefits of nanoparticles in crop protection, as well as the challenges to address in the future.
