In the modern world, the increase in cybercrimes is among the topmost threats to people and companies. Malicious actors become increasingly more intelligent and cleverer while using cybercrimes to attain their goals. Therefore, a threat detection system is of utmost importance as never before. People in this context regularly make mistakes, thinking that keyloggers are the synonym for malicious actors or the only way of usage. In fact, it is an excellent tool for threat detection and creating instruments for positive impacts. This research work explores the utilization of keyloggers along with exact string-matching algorithms to enhance threat detection capabilities. Monitoring users’ activity and matching them to a predefined set of recognized malicious patterns aids us in keeping a close check on the network, performing early detection and issuing appropriate responses for any situation. We can further include many more functionalities and keep the list of attack patterns updated regularly to improve the security and efficiency of the system.
