The Influence of Household Socioeconomic Characteristics on Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors in Probolinggo Regency
摘要
The rapid population growth in Probolinggo Regency, combined with a significant increase in infectious diseases, highlights the need for better public health interventions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of household socioeconomic characteristics on the adoption of clean and healthy living behaviors (CHLB) in Probolinggo Regency. Using logistic regression analysis, we identify key socioeconomic factors influencing CHLB practices at the household level. Furthermore, we investigate the use of support vector machine (SVM) as a complementary method for handling complex data relationships and improving predictive accuracy. The findings of this study are expected to provide policymakers and health practitioners with valuable insights into developing targeted health strategies to reduce the spread of infectious diseases and improve overall public health in Probolinggo Regency. This research not only addresses the current public health challenges but also contributes to the broader understanding of the social determinants of health in rural Indonesia.
