Social media is one of the key actors that prominently play their role in modern-day-to-day investigations to gain insight into suspects’ activities as well as their affiliations. However, the manual handling and recording of social media accounts are likely to include scope for errors and inefficiencies. This paper presents a cross-platform tool that automates the parsing of data acquired from social media platforms, such as Instagram. The tool screenshots posts, messages, timelines, friend lists, followers, following, and account information in a structured and documented format. The proposed solution would be in two versions: Android and Windows; this is primarily considered in ensuring accessibility to various platforms to address the platform accessibility issues with complete coverage of social media data.
