The negative impacts of climate change get intensified by overexploitation of natural resources mainly in agriculture. Abiotic factors such as high and low temperatures, soil salinity, drought, and other stresses lead to approximately 60% yield loss, with interrelated effects on morphology, physiology, biochemistry, and molecular changes in crop. The negative impact of climate change on global crop production and food security is a major concern for researchers. Hence, there is a need to focus on the planned adaptation and mitigation strategies to enhance the resilience of agriculture.
