Seismic Performance Simulation and Reliability Analysis of Self-centering Beam
摘要
Unrecoverable damage in conventional steel structures after a strong earthquakes cost massive resource to rebuild or repair. Self-centering system is able to eliminate the residual deformation after seismic action by post-tension strands and with replaceable energy dissipation element, the structure remains unbroken. In this paper, Self-Centering Beam (SCB) and its frame structure (SCF) were introduced with experiments and simulation analysis and the results demonstrate that little seismic damage and residual deformation in SCB frames after tests and the frame was undamaged. Meanwhile, reliability analysis on SCB and SCF was carried out. The end of SCB was able to resist moment causing by seismic actions reliably based on JC method and the results were able to meet the requirement of related code. By considering corrosion and stress loss of PT strands and resistance time-varying coefficient in ED Fuse, the reliability results of SCB during the design period (50 years) were acceptable. In addition, a Monte Carlo simulation analysis for SCB frame verified a stability response under earthquakes.
