This chapter utilises a case-based approach to illustrate the echocardiographic manifestations of various native valvular disorders including mitral, aortic, tricuspid and pulmonary valvular disorders. Important tips and tricks that can be used in the diagnosis and assessment of severity of different valvular disorders are discussed. Potential pitfalls in diagnosis are also presented. Indications for both percutaneous and surgical interventions are discussed. Discussions on management approaches from the current practice guidelines are presented where relevant.
