It is of paramount importance to use cardiac imaging to guide interventional treatment of congenital, structural as well as valvular heart diseases in order to ensure successful outcomes. Recently, there has been a surge in transcatheter treatment of these cardiac conditions. Intraprocedural guidance of catheter-based treatment is based mainly on transesophageal echocardiography, particularly 3-dimesional imaging for procedures such as the Mitralclip, left atrial appendage occlusion, mitral valve-in-valve procedure, and atrial septal defect occlusion.

摘要

It is of paramount importance to use cardiac imaging to guide interventional treatment of congenital, structural as well as valvular heart diseases in order to ensure successful outcomes. Recently, there has been a surge in transcatheter treatment of these cardiac conditions. Intraprocedural guidance of catheter-based treatment is based mainly on transesophageal echocardiography, particularly 3-dimesional imaging for procedures such as the Mitralclip, left atrial appendage occlusion, mitral valve-in-valve procedure, and atrial septal defect occlusion.
