Emerging Policies for Sustainable Construction
摘要
This review explores the evolving global policies on sustainable construction while trying to balance environmental sustainability (“Green Goals”) and socioeconomic equity (“Brown Goals”). The review compares the developed world’s focus on long-term ecological sustainability with the need to emphasize addressing immediate social needs like affordable housing, planned urbanization, etc., which are the key objectives of emerging economies. It proposes key policy recommendations to integrate Green and Brown Sustainability Goals globally. These measures aim to foster collaboration between governments, the private sector, and communities to create urban environments that are both environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive.
