Tumors
摘要
Fibromata are benign tumors that occur in fibrinous connective tissue and are composed primarily of dense, mature fibroblasts, and collagen fibers. They are similar in morphology and stainability with normal fibroblasts and collagen fibers, but different in number and arrangement. Fibromata are more common in domestic animals and poultry, and it can occur wherever connective tissue is present, mostly in the subcutaneous, submucosal, intermuscular, fascial, and periosteal areas. Fibromata are more common in equines.
