Perovskite Structured Tantalates: Comprehensive Exploration of Synthesis and Its Tantalizing Features

Perovskite tantalates have recently emerged as materials of considerable interest due to their exceptional properties and wide-ranging usages across a variety of fields. This report presents a summary of the synthesis techniques employed for the construction of tantalum nanoparticles and highlights their applications. The synthesis of tantalum nanoparticles involves several techniques, including hydrothermal, co-precipitation method, sol–gel method, ball milling, and solid-state reactions. Each method offers distinct advantages in terms of regulating particle size, ensuring purity, and aiding scalability. Tantalates display remarkable physical and chemical attributes. Thermal firmness and elevated melting point of tantalates qualify them as good applicants in catalysis, energy storage, scintillation, data storage, and beyond. The article concludes that tantalates synthesized through various methods possess a multitude of exceptional properties. Further research and advancement in the creation process are comprehensively reviewed in this report and emphasized that novel applications hold promise for harnessing the full potential of tantalates in the future.
