Controllers such as Proportional (P), Integral (I), Derivative (D), Proportional-Integral (PI), Proportional-Derivative (PD), and Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) serve as fundamental tools in regulating diverse process variables like temperature, pressure, flow, or level to sustain them within predetermined limits. This paper discusses the implementation of these basic controllers in LabVIEW for level control and compares their output along with the advantages and disadvantages of using each controller. The output curves are compared in terms of response time. It can be concluded that with LabVIEW, appropriate controller comparison and selection are done depending on the application requirements.

摘要
