The Impact of ICT Tools on the Quality of Academic Writing: A Case of Chemistry and Mathematics Scholars in China and Sudan

The dramatic increase in the number of higher education institutions in recent decades has necessitated colleges to enhance research profiles. This study aims to identify disparities between the Sudanese scholars in China and Sudan regarding the utilization of ICT research tools to improve the quality of their research writings. The study employed peer review to assess 26 dissertations written by Sudanese scholars in chemistry and mathematics in China and Sudan. Reviewers’ feedback confirms differences in the usage of ICT tools to ensure academic writing quality between the above-mentioned two groups of scholars. The conclusion discusses implications for leveraging ICT applications to enhance research quality among the Sudanese higher education scholars.
