The Internet of Things (IoT) is built over well-established technologies and protocols. Although various frameworks and protocols have been developed to enhance its portability and reliability, further advancements are required and developed by researchers and industrial communities. Moreover, efforts to expand and integrate it with the web in what is called the Web of Things (WoT) are being made. Transitioning to the WoT would result in obtaining and consequently benefiting from well-structured web technologies. One of the primary recent web standards is the semantic web. Hence, the IoT is receiving more attention; this has resulted in the creation of the Semantic Web of Things (SWoT). This study facilitates discussion of integrating semantic web to underwater sensors network and presents a framework for the integration of semantic technologies to provide a practical semantic WoT framework for underwater sensor network.
