Drought and irregular rainfall patterns are becoming more frequent, and therefore water scarcity is a big problem around the world today. Low water supply is a key factor that can be applied to the cultivation of plants for ornamental home use or small farms. However, conventional systems can cause a lot of water wastage because they either over-water, leading to root rot, or under-water, putting pressure on the plants. The goal of this work is to create a smart irrigation system that uses the Internet of Things (IoT) in conjunction with soil moisture sensors. This work aims to solve the garden watering problem by providing different varieties of plants in the garden with the appropriate amount of water they require based on their plant types and favorable seasons. This approach helps to avoid overwatering and underwatering, thus conserving water. Despite several efforts in the literature, there is still a need to develop more flexible and accurate systems, particularly for individual gardens, that can control irrigation based on soil moisture levels to use water efficiently without compromising plant health. This work successfully achieved independent plant watering for two separate zones in a garden, effectively controlling the water flow to each zone. This approach helps reduce water waste by ensuring that plants receive the right amount of water they need.

摘要
