The Chinese modernization of rule of law must follow the right path and establish clear objectives to rally collective efforts and achieve long-term effectiveness. The overall goals of the new path for the Chinese modernization of rule of law provide a correct direction for advancing comprehensive law-based governance in the new era. Overall, the Chinese modernization of rule of law centers on five main goals: the construction of a socialist rule of law system; the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity; the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation; and the basic establishment of a law-based country, government and society.
