Geographically, China’s central position in East Asia contributed to its cultural and legal influence. Politically, the emergence of a East Asian cultural community provided a favorable environment for the spread of Chinese legal traditions. The ideological basis was grounded in Confucianism, which shaped legal norms and governance principles. The legal system’s development also benefited from the mobility of legal talent, including both immigrants and overseas scholars. Finally, the Chinese language served as a key medium for the dissemination of legal ideas and texts.
