Pressure loads play a crucial role in structural analysis, simulating real-world scenarios such as wind pressure on buildings or fluid pressure in pipelines. Understanding these loads aids in designing structures for safety and stability. This study presents a finite element formulation for pressure loads for both 2D and 3D. The formulation is implemented to solve for a hyperelastic cantilever beam under a uniform pressure load. The formulation’s robustness is assessed through a mesh convergence study.

摘要

Pressure loads play a crucial role in structural analysis, simulating real-world scenarios such as wind pressure on buildings or fluid pressure in pipelines. Understanding these loads aids in designing structures for safety and stability. This study presents a finite element formulation for pressure loads for both 2D and 3D. The formulation is implemented to solve for a hyperelastic cantilever beam under a uniform pressure load. The formulation’s robustness is assessed through a mesh convergence study.
