Healthcare supply chains are complex webs that span institutional and geographic boundaries and act as the foundation for essential everyday comforts. The complexity of these systems may cause conflicts and result in inaccurate, opaque, or insufficient information provenance. Counterfeit medication is a big problem with the present supply chains, as it not only poses a substantial risk to public health as well as badly undermines the healthcare industry economically. Consequently, prior studies have highlighted the need for pharmaceutical supply chains to include a robust, all-encompassing framework for identification and surveillance. The healthcare supply chains are plagued by issues related to confidentiality of information, genuineness, as well as transparency that the existing tracking systems are centralized. We have introduced a novel approach to drug traceability utilizing blockchain technology. We present a blockchain-based approach that leverages decentralized off-chain storage along with smart contracts to enable efficient product tracking in the healthcare supply chain. Additionally, the suggested system can effectively prune its storage, creating a trustworthy and useful blockchain storage option.

摘要
