Plato (427 BC–347 BC), a renowned philosopher and thinker of Ancient Greece, is best known for his work ‘The Republic’. The book records most of his dialogues with his mentor Socrates (470 BC–399 BC), and its status in the history of Western philosophy is comparable to that of the ‘Analects’ in the East.
