In the era of digital transformation in the logistics industry, the integration of processes such as transportation, warehousing, handling, processing, distribution, and information management has become essential for establishing a seamless supply chain. However, traditional identity verification methods within logistics systems are often centralized, leading to vulnerabilities and hindering the independence, autonomy, and interoperability of collaborative supply chain processes.To address these challenges, we have developed the LDICM framework, a distributed identity verification and authorization system. LDICM enables different roles in supply chain logistics collaboration to maintain control over their data while accessing specific information based on business collaboration requirements. This framework is built on the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain and leverages Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) for entity identity verification and Verifiable Credentials (VCs) for consent management in information access.Our proposed solution significantly enhances data security, privacy, immutability, interoperability, and user autonomy by incorporating selective disclosure, zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized identifiers, verifiable credentials, and ontology-based access control. The outcomes of this study have practical implications for decentralized identity management and authentication within collaborative supply chain logistics.
