The Sounds of Silence: Making Sense of the Domestic Abuse
摘要
Literature reviews on domestic abuse against women have devoted considerable attention to this critical topic. This study was undertaken with the aim of assessing the prevalence of Intimate Partner Victimization (IPV), the risk of homicide, and their adverse effects on Qatari women’s mental health. Depression, anxiety, and PTSD were measured. The secondary objective was to explore factors associated with IPV among women and why women remain passive in abusive relationships.
