Narratives of Domestic Abuse Against Women
摘要
This chapter follows on from the previous quantitative chapter which examined the prevalence of different forms of domestic abuse and how it affects their mental health and how might put them at risk of homicide, and other risk factors that influence their victimization. The previous chapter has also outlined how the attitude towards women emerged from the victims’ perspective. The primary purpose of this chapter was to gain a deeper comprehension of the findings by making use of quantitative data, to provide an explanation for the findings, and to offer support for the findings by increasing understanding of the forms of domestic violence that are experienced by women in Qatar and why they are not leaving the abusive relationship. Determine whether social context and societal aspects influence participants’ decisions to remain passive in an abusive relationship.
