General Introduction
摘要
Liver cancer is one of the most common primary malignant tumors, and surgical resection offers the potentially curative option to achieve long-term survival [1–4]. Due to its lack of typical early symptoms, early detection of liver cancer remains challenging. Many patients are often diagnosed with large tumors or advanced tumors with invaded important vessels. Extensive liver resection is required in such cases for radical resection of the tumor. Postoperative complications such as liver function failure can occur due to insufficient future liver remnant (FLR), which may result in severe consequences, including death.
