This success has been driven by the synergy of the troika of sci-tech innovation, finance, and talent—each of which has contributed valuable lessons for the development of bay areas worldwide. On the other hand, the region now faces a range of challenges, both internal and external, including those related to population, economy, and environment. Addressing these challenges and restoring the area’s former glory is a critical task moving forward.
