摘要

Mineral flotation process will consume a lot of fresh water resources, and as fresh water resources become more and more scarce, many concentrators began to use a large number of inorganic electrolytes containing circulating water, groundwater, brackish water and seawater, and other sources of mineral processing operations to save fresh water. There are many different elements that contribute to the variation in flotation performance in a seawater environment, and the flotation process itself is intrinsically complicated. An overview of the global water deficit scenario is given in this document. In addition to providing an overview of the scientific advances made in understanding the impact of seawater on flotation processes and mechanisms, this study summarizes the current state of seawater beneficiation in both local and international contexts. This includes analyzing how the seawater environment affects flotation agents, the surface characteristics of mineral particles, the features of bubbles, and the interfacial water structure of minerals. It provides a theoretical foundation for the efficient flotation of ores using seawater, and identifies future research directions. To solve the problems with mineral flotation, like the ones caused by seawater.
