The present study explores the development and impact of scented crayons designed specifically for blind students to foster inclusive and multi-sensory learning experiences. Traditional coloring activities often rely heavily on visual perception, posing challenges for individuals with visual impairments. The proposed scented crayons aim to provide a unique and enjoyable approach to coloring by associating distinct scents with various colors, enabling blind students to engage in the creative process through tactile and olfactory sensations. Our study delves into the design and production of scented crayons with a focus on safety, accessibility, and ease of use. We evaluate the effectiveness of this innovative tool through qualitative assessments, gathering feedback from blind students who take part in coloring activities using the scented crayons. The research examines the emotional and cognitive impact of incorporating scent into the coloring experience, aiming to understand how it enhances the overall enjoyment and engagement for blind individuals. The findings of this research contribute to the field of inclusive education and sensory-driven learning strategies. By embracing multi-sensory approaches, educators and designers can create tools that empower visually impaired students to explore and express their creativity in ways that extend beyond traditional visual-centric methods.
