Agriculture is the economic foundation of several developing nations, and the application of technologies reduces the excessive application of herbicides in the soils and its related challenges. Technology is an enabler of progress against the SDGs. In their simplest form, the enabling technologies address many of the same challenges that exist across sustainable interventions. The inclusion of technology in a number of the SDGs attests to the high potential of new technologies and innovation to contribute to a sustainable development trajectory. This chapter illustrates how sustainable and precision agriculture, drones, and artificial intelligence improve global food security, genomics, and biotechnology for climate-resilient crops. Information and communication technology (ICT) refers to the convergence of telecommunication, intelligent tools, desktop computers, and personal computers issues within “Zero Hunger.” The use of solar-powered digital devices can allow for online skill training in rural areas woefully underserved by traditional agricultural education systems. Such technologies have recently been implemented in various projects, such as those in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. An increase in the uptake and the universal usage of a range of new technologies and existing solutions can enable us collectively to provide rapid access to supportive assistance at the point and means of delivery of interventions to a degree that has never been achieved before in a durable way.
