SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals—Technology as a Catalyst for Global Collaboration
摘要
This focuses on how technology is fostering global partnerships and knowledge sharing, public-private partnerships for achieving SDGs through innovation. Strategies are defined in mutually reinforcing landscapes of applied science, which aim to address problems at the local level and an enabling environment at the international level to allow the development of neighboring partnerships. They involve partnerships with a wide range of production companies and multilateral finance institutions of the United Nations. Innovations negotiate practical possibilities for worldwide cooperation to align local action with the bigger image. Breakthroughs in information and telecommunications technology have made worldwide partnerships almost probable. This chapter discusses practical cases of global collaboration in the history of digital technology; ministries, personal companies, culture, world stakeholders, and NGOs show how technology can facilitate new types of partnerships and the emergence of groundbreaking systemic solutions. In achieving collaborative targets, this managed optimization is a robust substitute for using the complexity of a worldwide venture to predict a sub-optimal future, starting with the foundation of the present. There are two main features of the information and telecommunications technologies we believe are essential. First, they multiply the communications potential per human energy device significantly due to their potential to interconnect various stakeholders simultaneously and almost simultaneously. This saves time and increases marketing campaigns’ effect in low-cost financing and financing arrangements by developing countries.
