This paper evaluates how digital platforms have transformed marketing processes and enhanced the global accessibility of homestay services, specifically in the hilly state of Uttarakhand, India. This analysis studies 350 homestays to understand how digital technology affects their online presence and environmental sustainability through booking activities. Research shows that 81.14% of homestay businesses use Internet platforms to attract more foreign bookings and reach more customers. A positive association between digital adoption and sustainability-related activities, including waste disposal and community engagement, has been shown. The methodology is descriptive inferential, utilizing Chi-Square and T-Tests to ascertain the correlations between Wi-Fi usage and productivity. The benefits of technology are clear but operators face expensive problems with technical breakdowns. The study delivers workable guidelines for tourism policymakers and homestay owners who need to dedicate resources to better digital equality and sustainable tourism development.
