Energy Management and Monitoring System for Electric Vehicles Utilizing IoT Technology
摘要
The demand for electric vehicles (EVs) increased as a result focus on environmentally friendly transportation on a global scale. But EVs’ short range, which is mostly determined by battery capacity, is still a major problem. Strong battery health monitoring is necessary to guarantee dependable and effective EV operation. This study proposes an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for electric vehicle energy management and monitoring that combines battery sensors, an Arduino microcontroller, a Wi-Fi module, and a cloud server. Using sensors that send information to the Arduino microcontroller, the system keeps an eye on important battery metrics such as voltage, current, and temperature. The processed data are then relayed to an IoT cloud server via a Wi-Fi module, enabling real-time monitoring and analysis. Furthermore, the proposed system incorporates IoT-based monitoring of the vehicle’s display and operational parameters, ensuring effective control of the EV motor during optimal running conditions. By leveraging IoT technology, this work facilitates precise monitoring during battery charging and discharging phases, ensuring enhanced system performance, safety, and reliability. The proposed solution demonstrates the potential for sustainable and efficient EV energy management systems through advanced IoT integration.
