From Project-Based Learning to Employability Outcome: The Mediating Role of Skill Acquisition and Learning Engagement, Moderated by Digital Tools and AI Within a Conceptual Framework
摘要
The aim of this study is to explore the impact of project-based learning (PBL) on the employability outcomes of university students, emphasizing the mediating roles of skill acquisition and learning engagement, as well as the moderating effects of digital tool proficiency and AI integration. The SkillFusionLab, an innovative PBL program, appears as a realistic case study illustrating how a hands-on educational environment may bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the competencies demanded by employers. The findings indicate that PBL substantially enhances students’ readiness for the job market by fostering active learning, cooperation, and the practical application of information in real-world scenarios. The study emphasizes the significance of incorporating digital technologies and AI to enhance the advantages of PBL and provide a more engaging and pragmatic learning experience. This research enhances the current literature by providing a comprehensive view of the factors affecting employability, emphasizing the importance of active learning strategies and technological integration in higher education.
