This paper explores challenges in boundary stake management, focusing on supervision difficulties and positioning inaccuracies. We propose a smart boundary stake system utilizing IoT and cloud computing technologies. The system features a dual-mode positioning approach, combining BeiDou satellite and GPS for precise location data. Sensors collect information on the stakes’ shape, temperature, and humidity, with narrowband IoT technology transmitting this data to a cloud platform for remote monitoring and alarm notifications. Experimental results show that the dual-mode system enhances accuracy and stability compared to GPS alone, while maintaining low power consumption, effectively supporting boundary management.
