The issuance of digital currency by the central bank is a reform of monetary payment methods, and the speed of currency circulation has changed accordingly. This article selects variables such as economic growth rate, cash ratio, digital currency growth rate, and degree of financial digitization, and uses VAR model to analyze the impact of each variable on the circulation speed (V0, V1, V2) of different levels of currency. The conclusion is that digital currency mainly replaces cash (M0), and the development of digital currency can accelerate the circulation speed of currency.
